A shared menu is a menu that is appended to the end of the menu bar by another application. CFG supports shared menus from UserLand Frontier. A sample shared menu is already provided - named the Scripts menu. The Main Menus section of the CFG User's Manual contains a detailed explanation of the initial menu commands. This menu only appears when Frontier is executing.
The main purpose of a shared menu is to extend the power of CFG. A Frontier script can be attached to the shared menu, permitting the user to execute his favorite scripts without needing to switch to the UserLand Frontier application. Consult the Frontier documentation for information on creating and modifying shared menus. Note that the Quick Script command from the Special menu also permits one to execute Frontier scripts from within CFG.
